Teacher Member Workshop

When:  Apr 28, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ET)

NEW DATE: SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 2018

IT’S HERE! AND IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU!

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR FOLGER SHAKESPEARE LIBRARY’S FIRST-EVER TEACHER MEMBER WORKSHOP DAY!

Get in on this first-ever, super-special, all-day extravaganza exclusively for Teacher Members of the Folger Shakespeare Library. Teacher Members, you know who you are. Mark your calendars!

Saturday, April 28, 2018, is the big day.

What's it all about? Bringing our inaugural Teacher Members together, in person at their Folger home, for rare books from the world's largest Shakespeare collection, lively professional development with a whole new set of teaching strategies and colleagues, access to Folger experts, fun on the Folger stage, a special Teacher Member tour, and lots more glorious teacher nerdiness.

We have space for the first 50 Teacher Members who register. (Oh, how we wish we could have ALL of you here in March!) Registration is first come, first served, and we'll close registration on March 7th. We will keep a waiting list and notify you if something changes.

Below please find an overview of the schedule, whose start and end times are real but whose content we might tweak a bit because we’re teachers:

10:00AM-1:00PM - Act One: The Treasures of the Folger, including YOU!

1:00-2:00PM – Lunch on your own on the avenue (aka “restaurant row”)

2:00-5:00PM – Act Two: An Even Deeper Dive into the Folger Method to Teaching and Learning

Workshop faculty: Peggy O'Brien, Director of Education, along with other experts, including a scholar and a mentor teacher to be named soon!
